25.1 Overview

Teams allow an AIUNIFY Analytics account owner to share access to selected Website analytics with other people without giving them ownership of the entire account.

AIUNIFY describes Teams as:

“Create, invite or get invited to other people's teams.”

A Team is built around a defined group of Websites. When creating or editing a Team, the owner selects which Websites that Team can access. At least one Website must be selected.

The basic workflow is:

Create Team → Select Websites → Add Members → Members Accept Invitation → Members Login to Team → Review Shared Website Analytics

25.2 Team Availability

Team functionality depends on the features available to your AIUNIFY Analytics account.

When Teams are not available under the account, Team creation and management are prevented.

Availability: Team functionality may depend on your AIUNIFY Analytics account features.

25.3 Opening Teams

To access Teams:

  1. Sign in to AIUNIFY Analytics.
  2. Open Teams.
  3. The Teams screen displays two primary areas:
  4. My teams
  5. Teams you belong to

These sections distinguish Teams you own from Teams another account owner has invited you to join.

25.4 My Teams

My teams contains Teams created and owned by your AIUNIFY Analytics account.

The table displays:

  1. Team
  2. Websites
  3. Members

The Website count represents how many Websites are shared through the Team.

The Members count represents the Team associations connected with that Team.

25.5 Creating a Team

To create a Team:

  1. Open Teams.
  2. Click Create team.
  3. The Create a new team window opens.
  4. Enter a Name.
  5. Under Access to websites, select one or more Websites.
  6. Click Submit.

The interface describes the purpose as:

“Share access with your members.”

and describes Access to websites as:

“Which websites you want to share access to.”

25.6 Team Name

Enter a clear name representing the group.

Examples:

  1. Marketing Team
  2. Executive Analytics
  3. Client Reporting Team
  4. West Coast Sales
  5. Website Optimization Team
  6. Enterprise Marketing
  7. Agency Client Team

Use a name that makes the Team's purpose obvious when several Teams exist.

25.7 Access to Websites

Access to websites is a multi-select field.

The list displays the Website:

Name + Host/Path

so you can determine exactly which Analytics properties should be shared.

You must select at least one valid Website before the Team can be created.

25.8 Teams Do Not Automatically Receive Every Website

Creating a Team does not automatically share your entire AIUNIFY Analytics account.

The Team receives only the Website IDs selected under:

Access to websites

This creates a useful separation such as:

Executive Team → Corporate Website + Investor Website

Marketing Team → Main Website + Campaign Landing Pages

Client A Team → Client A Website only

25.9 Opening an Owned Team

From My teams, click the Team Name.

The Team page displays:

  1. Team Name
  2. Shared Website addresses
  3. Members
  4. Add member

The Website hosts/paths assigned to the Team appear near the top of the Team page.

25.10 Editing a Team

To change an existing Team:

  1. Open Teams.
  2. Locate the Team under My teams.
  3. Open its three-dot menu.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. The Edit team window opens.
  6. Change the Name and/or selected Websites.
  7. Click Submit.

The Edit Team form contains:

  1. Name
  2. Access to websites

25.11 Changing Website Access

You can add or remove Websites from an existing Team.

For example:

Current Team:

Website A + Website B

Updated Team:

Website A + Website C

After the update, Team access is based on the new Website selection.

At least one Website must remain selected.

25.12 Team Access Is Controlled at the Team Level

The current Team interface does not provide a separate role selector for each member.

You do not see choices such as:

  1. Analyst
  2. Manager
  3. Viewer
  4. Administrator

when adding a member.

Instead:

Team → Selected Websites → Members

defines the shared access model.

The Add Member form itself contains only an Email field.

25.13 Teams You Belong To

The second section is:

Teams you belong to

This represents Teams another AIUNIFY Analytics account owner has invited you to access.

The table contains:

  1. Team
  2. Websites
  3. State

25.14 Team Membership States

A Team invitation can display:

Invited

or:

Joined

An invitation that has not yet been accepted displays:

Invited

Once accepted, it displays:

Joined.

25.15 Accepting or Declining a Team

For a pending invitation, the action menu provides:

  1. Accept
  2. Decline

Accepting turns the Team invitation into an active membership.

Declining removes your association with that invitation.

25.16 Logging Into a Team

After joining, the Team action menu provides:

Selecting Login activates that Team context and redirects you to the Dashboard.

AIUNIFY stores the selected Team in the browser so the application knows you are working through that Team rather than your normal account context.

25.17 Active Team Context

When operating inside a Team, AIUNIFY restricts the application to the Websites assigned to that Team.

This is different from normal account ownership.

Think of the contexts as:

Normal Account Mode → Your Websites and owner controls

versus:

Team Mode → Shared Websites belonging to that Team

25.18 Team Indicator

When a Team is active, AIUNIFY displays Team context within the application's top interface.

This is important because the same Dashboard can otherwise look similar to normal account use.

Always confirm whether you are operating:

as yourself

or:

inside a Team

before attempting Website management.

25.19 Leaving Active Team Mode

AIUNIFY provides a Team exit control.

When used, the selected Team browser state is removed and you are returned to the normal Dashboard context.

This does not mean you have left the Team permanently.

It only exits the currently active Team session.

25.20 Exit Team Mode vs. Leave Team

These are different actions.

Exit Team Mode

Returns you to your normal AIUNIFY account.

You remain a Team member.

Leave Team

Removes your membership from the Team.

The Teams interface uses the explicit action:

Leave team

25.21 Team Management Restrictions

When you are operating inside someone else's active Team, owner-level Team management is blocked.

For example, the system does not let an active Team member use Team-owner functions such as:

  1. Creating Teams
  2. Editing Teams
  3. Deleting Teams

To manage your own Teams, return to your normal account context first.

25.22 Website Management Restrictions in Team Mode

Team access is primarily designed for shared Analytics access rather than transferring Website ownership.

Across AIUNIFY Analytics, many configuration and destructive actions are restricted in Team mode, including owner-level management functions already described elsewhere in this manual.

This helps protect the Website owner's:

  1. Website configuration
  2. Heatmaps
  3. Goals
  4. Annotations
  5. Replay records
  6. Other account-owned resources

25.23 Managing Multiple Teams

You can belong to more than one Team.

Teams you belong to lists the Team memberships and invitations associated with your account/email.

To move between Teams:

  1. Exit the currently active Team.
  2. Open Teams.
  3. Find the Team you want.
  4. Select Login.

25.24 Deleting an Owned Team

To delete a Team you own:

  1. Open Teams.
  2. Locate the Team under My teams.
  3. Open its action menu.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Confirm.

The system warns:

“All the team members will lose access to your chosen websites. This action cannot be undone.”

Deleting the Team removes the shared Team relationship—it does not mean the underlying Websites themselves are being deleted.

25.25 Recommended Team Structures

A practical structure might be:

Marketing Team

  1. Main Website
  2. Campaign Website
  3. Funnel Website

Executive Team

  1. Main Website
  2. Investor Website

Client Reporting Team

  1. Client-specific Website

Optimization Team

  1. High-traffic Websites requiring Heatmap/Replay analysis

Only share Websites that the Team actually needs.

25.26 Troubleshooting — Create Team Is Missing

Check:

  1. Team feature availability
  2. Whether you are currently operating inside another Team
  3. Whether you are back in your normal account context

Team creation is blocked while active Team context is in use.

25.27 Troubleshooting — Team Cannot Be Created

Confirm:

  1. Name is entered
  2. At least one Website is selected
  3. Selected Websites belong to your available Website collection

The creation process requires both a Name and valid Website selection.

25.28 Troubleshooting — Member Cannot See a Website

Open:

Teams → My teams → Edit

and verify that the Website appears under:

Access to websites

If it is not selected, it is outside that Team's shared Website scope.

25.29 Team Management Checklist

  1. Team functionality available
  2. Normal account context active before managing Teams
  3. Clear Team Name
  4. Correct Websites selected
  5. Only necessary Websites shared
  6. Members reviewed
  7. Pending invitations reviewed
  8. Joined members reviewed
  9. Team context confirmed before Analytics work
  10. Team exited before owner-level management
  11. Obsolete Teams removed carefully
