28.1 Overview
Preferences control how AIUNIFY Analytics is presented and how supported management lists are displayed by default.
AIUNIFY describes Preferences as:
“Here you can set different preferences for your account related to the site usage.”
Preferences do not replace Website Tracking Settings.
They primarily control:
28.2 Opening Preferences
Open:
Account → Preferences
The page contains:
28.3 Preferences vs. Website Settings
This distinction is important.
Preferences
Control how your AIUNIFY account/interface behaves.
Website Settings
Control how a Website is tracked.
For example:
Excluded IPs are managed under the individual Website's Advanced Settings—not from the current Preferences form.
28.4 White Labeling Settings
When White Labeling is enabled for AIUNIFY Analytics, Preferences can display:
White labeling settings.
Availability can also depend on the account.
28.5 White Label Title
Field:
White label title
Use this to configure the alternate title used by supported White Label experiences.
28.6 White Label Footer Description
Field:
White label footer description
This allows supported White Label views to use your configured footer description.
28.7 White Label Logo Light
Field:
White label logo light
This allows you to provide branding intended for supported light-background presentation.
28.8 White Label Logo Dark
Field:
White label logo dark
This allows you to provide the alternate logo used where supported for dark presentation.
28.9 White Label Favicon
Field:
White label favicon
Use this to configure the browser/site icon used by supported White Label experiences.
28.10 Remove Socials
White Label Preferences include:
White label remove socials
which can remove supported platform social links from the White Label presentation.
28.11 Remove Footer Links
White Label Preferences also include:
White label remove footer links.
Use it when supported White Label pages should avoid displaying the normal footer-link collection.
28.12 White Labeling Does Not Change Analytics Collection
Changing:
does not change the Website's Tracking Type or Analytics data.
It changes supported presentation/branding.
28.13 Default Settings
The second Preferences area is:
Default settings
It controls how supported AIUNIFY management lists initially display their records.
28.14 Default Results Per Page
Field:
Default results per page
Available values are:
28.15 Choosing Results Per Page
Use lower values when:
Use higher values when:
Remember from Chapter 23 that results-per-page settings can also affect paginated list exports.
28.16 Default Results Order
Field:
Default results order
Available choices:
28.17 Understanding Ascending vs. Descending
Ascending
Lower/earlier values first.
Descending
Higher/newer values first.
The actual effect depends on the selected:
[Module] default order by
field.
28.18 Websites Default Order By
Preferences provide:
Websites default order by
Available options include:
28.19 Example — Most Recently Updated Websites
Set:
Websites default order by → Last Updated
and:
Default results order → Descending
This makes recently updated Website records appear first by default.
28.20 Example — Highest Pageview Websites
Set:
Websites default order by → Pageviews
with the appropriate order direction when you want current Website usage to influence the default list order.
28.21 Heatmaps Default Order By
When Heatmaps are enabled, Preferences provide a default Heatmaps ordering setting.
The reliably processed saved choices include:
28.22 Heatmap Path Preference Note
The current interface may display Path in the Heatmaps ordering menu.
However, the current Preferences save-processing logic does not include Path among the retained Heatmap default-order values and falls back to the default when an unsupported value is submitted.
For a reliable saved Heatmap default, use:
28.23 Annotations Default Order By
When Annotations are enabled, supported defaults include:
28.24 Recommended Annotation Ordering
For milestone-based analysis, a useful configuration is:
Annotations default order by → Annotation datetime
Then choose the desired:
Ascending / Descending
order.
28.25 Domains Default Order By
When Custom Domains are enabled, Preferences provide:
as default ordering options.
28.26 Goals Default Order Is Not Currently Shown
Although internal preference processing includes a Goals ordering value, the current Preferences interface does not present that field to users.
Therefore this manual does not treat Goals Default Order as a current user-configurable Preferences control.
28.27 Updating Preferences
After changing your Preferences:
AIUNIFY confirms:
“Your account preferences have been updated.”
28.28 Preferences Become Your Defaults
After saving, supported management pages use these settings when deciding their initial:
Individual page Filters can still be used when you need a different view temporarily.
28.29 Preferences vs. Filters
Think of:
Preference
How should this screen normally open?
Filter
How do I want to view it right now?
For example:
Preference:
Websites → Name → Ascending
Temporary Filter:
Status → Active
The Filter does not require changing your stored Preference.
28.30 Recommended Preferences for Large Accounts
For an account managing many Websites:
Default Results Per Page: 100 or more, depending on workflow
Default Results Order: Descending
Websites: Last Updated
Heatmaps: Last Updated
Annotations: Annotation Datetime
Domains: Last Updated
Choose the configuration that best matches the way your organization reviews Analytics.
28.31 Recommended Preferences for Simpler Accounts
For a small number of Websites:
Default Results Per Page: 10 or 25
Websites: Name
Default Results Order: Ascending
This keeps management areas compact and alphabetically organized.
28.32 Troubleshooting — White Label Settings Are Missing
White Label controls only appear when White Label functionality is enabled for AIUNIFY Analytics.
Your account must also have access to use them.
28.33 Troubleshooting — Preference Appears Ignored
Check:
Reset page Filters and reload the module to evaluate the saved default.
