12.1 Creating a URL QR Code

1. Open QR Codes and select New QR Code.
2. Choose URL.
3. Enter a QR name.
4. Enter the Destination URL including https://.
5. Optionally enter a Custom code.
6. Complete Design, Logo, Frame & CTA, and Config settings as needed.
7. Save the QR Code.
8. Test the generated scan URL from a separate device before distribution.

A URL QR is the most flexible choice for a dynamic campaign because the saved destination can later be edited without changing the printed scan URL.

12.2 Creating a Text QR Code

Choose Text and enter the plain text that should appear after a scan. The builder encodes the value as PROS text content and the public resolver renders it as a content page rather than sending the visitor to an external website.

1. Choose Text.
2. Enter the QR name.
3. Enter Plain text to show after scan.
4. Customize the QR if needed.
5. Save and test the public scan result.

12.3 Creating an Image QR Code

Choose Image. You can provide an image URL or use Upload image from computer.

The server accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG, and PDF files up to 10 MB at the QR request layer, although the Image workflow is intended for image media.

1. Choose Image.
2. Enter the QR name.
3. Enter an image URL or select an image file.
4. Save the QR.
5. Confirm the public destination loads correctly.

12.4 Creating a PDF QR Code

Choose PDF. Enter a PDF URL or use Upload PDF from computer. When a file is uploaded, PROS stores the public media path and uses it as the destination.

1. Maximum server-side media upload: 10 MB.
2. A URL or file is required.
3. When editing, leaving the replacement upload blank keeps the current saved file/link unless you change the destination.

12.5 Creating a Video QR Code

Choose Video and enter a valid Video URL. The current QR builder validates the URL and uses it as the destination.

Current interface: Although the request layer accepts several file MIME types generally, the Video builder is presented as a URL-based workflow in the current subscriber UI.

12.6 URL Validation

For URL, Image, PDF, and Video URL-based content, the browser-side builder expects a valid http:// or https:// URL. If the value is malformed, it reports Enter a valid URL including https://.

12.7 Editing Media QR Codes

When editing a saved Image or PDF QR Code, the editor includes Replace uploaded file. Upload a new supported file only when you want to replace the current media. Leaving the file input blank preserves the existing file/link unless another destination value is entered.

12.8 Testing These QR Types

1. URL: confirm the correct page opens and the final address is expected.
2. Text: confirm the text is readable and complete.
3. Image: confirm the image loads over HTTPS and displays well on mobile.
4. PDF: confirm the file opens without authentication or permission errors unless that is intentional.
5. Video: confirm the destination is accessible on common mobile browsers.
