15.1 QR Design Controls

The Design tab controls the visual appearance of the QR pattern and background. Good design should preserve scan reliability while supporting brand recognition.

15.2 QR Color

The QR COLOR section supports Single color and Gradient colors. You can choose a preset or a custom color.

When gradient mode is enabled, select Start and End colors for the foreground gradient.

15.3 Background Color and Gradient

The BG COLOR controls support preset/custom background colors and background-gradient settings. A light background with a dark foreground is generally the safest combination for scanning.

15.4 Dot Styles

The current builder offers ten visual dot-style choices:

  1. Square
  2. Rounded
  3. Dots
  4. Classy
  5. Extra Rounded
  6. Classy Rounded
  7. Soft Square
  8. Pinpoint
  9. Capsule
  10. Tile

15.5 Eye Frame Styles

The EYE FRAME area controls corner-square appearance. Current style values include Square, Rounded, Leaf, Circle, and Frame. Eye color can be stored separately from the main QR foreground.

15.6 Error Correction

LevelBuilder label
LLow - 7%
MMedium - 15%
QQuartile - 25%
HHigh - 30%

Higher correction can preserve readability after more visual damage or logo coverage, but it also makes the QR pattern denser.

15.7 Design Reliability Guidelines

  1. Maintain strong foreground/background contrast.
  2. Avoid using very light QR foreground colors on white.
  3. Do not place the QR over a visually busy background without testing.
  4. Use higher error correction when adding a prominent center logo.
  5. Test the final downloaded file at the actual print size.
  6. Test with more than one phone or QR reader before a large print run.

15.8 Editing Design Later

Saved styling information is retained with the QR record. The Edit QR workflow exposes Logo & colors and related styling fields so the design can be updated. Remember that changing the digital design does not change QR images that have already been printed unless the underlying encoded scan URL remains the same.
