26.1 Managing Existing Short Links

The Short Link listing is designed for ongoing campaign management. Search, filters, sorting, status, Analytics, edit, delete, and copy controls let you manage a growing link library.

26.2 Search and Filters

  1. Search by alias, destination, or tag.
  2. Sort by Newest, Oldest, or Alias.
  3. Filter status by All statuses, Active, Scheduled, or Expired.
  4. Filter date by All dates, Last 7d, Last 30d, or Last 90d.
  5. Filter by tag.
  6. Use Reset to clear filters.

26.3 Editing a Short Link

Select Edit to open the edit drawer. Current visible edit fields include Destination URL, Alias, Tags, New password, Mark as favorite, Generate matching QR, Starts at, Expires at, and UTM fields.

  1. Confirm the Destination URL.
  2. Review the Alias; editing requires a valid unique alias.
  3. Update Tags as needed.
  4. Enter New password only when replacing the existing one.
  5. Change Favorite, matching QR, schedule, or UTM values.
  6. Select Save changes.

26.4 Activating and Deactivating

The edit drawer shows Deactivate when the link is active and Activate when it is inactive. These actions change the active flag without deleting the link.

26.5 Deleting

Select Delete in the listing and confirm Delete this short link?. Deleting removes the Short Link record from normal workspace use.

Distributed links: If the Short Link has already been shared publicly or encoded into a QR Code, deletion can break those existing references. Consider deactivation first if you may need to restore access.

26.6 Copy Short Link

Use Copy short link to copy the PROS public alias URL. This is the address you should share when you want click tracking, schedule enforcement, password protection, redirect behavior, and UTM handling.

26.7 Per-Link Analytics

Each row can summarize Clicks, Last 7 days, Unique, Top country, and Top device. Select Analytics to move to broader reporting.

26.8 Status Troubleshooting

26.9 Short Link Management Best Practices

  1. Use a consistent alias naming standard.
  2. Tag links at creation time rather than after the library becomes large.
  3. Use favorites for mission-critical links.
  4. Deactivate before deleting when uncertain.
  5. Test the full redirect after every destination or UTM change.
  6. Review analytics before reusing an alias for a different campaign context.
