38.1 Profile and Preference Settings

The Profile area in Settings is where you manage core user information, password changes, language, and theme preferences. You can also reach Profile settings from the Topbar profile menu.

38.2 Opening Profile Settings

  1. Open Settings from the Sidebar.
  2. Select the Profile tab.
  3. Review your current account information and preferences.

38.3 Updating Your Name

The profile name is required and can contain up to 120 characters. Enter the name you want associated with your workspace activity and account profile, then save the profile.

For the workspace owner, updating the profile can also update the tenant/workspace name in the current controller workflow.

38.4 Updating Your Email Address

The email field must be a valid email address and is limited by the current validation to 191 characters. It must remain unique where required by the user table.

Use an address you can access because authentication, password recovery, notifications, and other account communications can depend on it.

38.5 Changing Your Password

The authenticated password-change workflow requires your current password and a new confirmed password. The new password must contain at least 8 characters.

  1. Open Profile settings.
  2. Locate Change password.
  3. Enter the current password.
  4. Enter the new password.
  5. Confirm the new password.
  6. Submit the password change.

38.6 If You Forgot Your Password

If you cannot sign in because you do not know the current password, use the password-recovery workflow from the sign-in page rather than the authenticated Change Password form.

38.7 Language Preference

AIUNIFY PROS includes a language selector in the Topbar and language controls in preferences. English, French, and Spanish are always added to the Topbar language collection, and additional configured languages can also be available.

  1. Open the language selector in the Topbar.
  2. Choose the desired language.
  3. The workspace updates the stored locale preference.

38.8 Theme Preference

Use the Topbar theme button or Settings preferences to switch between Light and Dark themes.

The current preference validation accepts the values light and dark.

38.9 Custom Language Entries

Where the Settings interface allows workspace language configuration, custom language entries use a language code and language name. The current controller limits the code to 12 characters and the name to 60 characters.

English, French, and Spanish remain part of the standard language collection.

38.10 Topbar Profile Menu

The Topbar profile menu shows your name and email and contains:

  1. Profile settings
  2. Logout

38.11 Saving Preferences

After changing language or theme in the Settings area, use the available save action. Topbar quick controls can update preferences directly.

38.12 Recommended Account Practices

  1. Keep your email address current.
  2. Use a strong password that is not reused across unrelated services.
  3. Sign out when using a shared or public computer.
  4. Use the workspace language that your team understands consistently.
  5. If an account setting is unavailable, verify your role and permissions before assuming there is a system error.
