Chapter 7 — Creating a Website

7.1 Creating a New Website

AIUNIFY Leads provides a standard website creation workflow from the Websites workspace.

Website creation is available only when the signed-in user has the applicable website creation permission and the account has available website capacity.

7.2 Opening the Website Creation Form

  1. Open Websites.
  2. Select Add Website.
  3. Complete the website information presented in the website form.
  4. Review the values before saving.
  5. Select Create to save the website or Cancel to close the form without creating it.

7.3 Website Creation Data

The confirmed website data model includes the following website-level fields:

Name Starts blank and identifies the website inside the workspace.
Slug Starts blank and becomes the URL-friendly website identifier.
Website Category Can associate the website with an existing category.
Theme Name Defaults to tailwind_theme.
Primary Theme Color Defaults to #2563eb.
Secondary Theme Color Optional and initially blank.
Theme Mode Defaults to Light.
Primary Website Defaults to No/False.
Custom CSS Initially blank.
Custom JavaScript Initially blank.
Same Header Across Pages Enabled by default.
Same Footer Across Pages Enabled by default.

7.4 Default Language

The standard creation data begins with an English language configuration:

If a standard website creation request reaches the server without any languages, AIUNIFY Leads creates English as the default language automatically.

7.5 What the System Creates with a Website

Creating a website does more than create the website record itself. The confirmed workflow establishes supporting website information needed for continued setup.

This includes website language records and website settings. The system also establishes the website's initial page structure, including a default Home page and corresponding page translation information.

7.6 The Default Home Page

The initial page uses the page key home. A Home translation is created for each configured website language, and the Home page is configured to appear in the header.

This provides a starting page that can later be populated with sections through the Website Builder.

7.7 Shared Header and Footer Defaults

New websites default to using the same header and footer across all pages. This helps maintain consistent navigation and branding while additional pages are created.

These settings can be managed later as part of the website configuration.

7.8 Creating with AI

The Websites workspace also contains an AI-assisted creation workflow. It can prepare website data and create the website, languages, settings, and default page structure from AI-assisted information.

The detailed AI website creation process is documented separately in the AI Website Wizard chapter.

7.9 If the Create Action Is Not Available

If you cannot create a website, check the following:

  1. Your account has permission to create websites.
  2. The Website module is available to your account.
  3. Your permitted website limit has not been reached.
  4. Required fields have been completed correctly.

7.10 After Creating the Website

After the website exists, a recommended setup sequence is:

  1. Confirm the website identity and theme.
  2. Review and configure Website Languages.
  3. Create any additional Website Pages.
  4. Complete Website Settings for each required language.
  5. Open Website Builder and add page sections.
  6. Preview the Landing Page URL.
