18.1 Website Settings

Website Settings manage the website-specific and language-specific identity, contact, social, branding, and search-engine information used by AIUNIFY Leads.

Website Settings should be distinguished from the basic Website record. The Website record controls items such as website Name, Slug, theme configuration, and shared Header/Footer behavior, while Website Settings contain the detailed public-facing business and SEO information.

18.2 Website and Language Context

Website Settings are loaded using both:

  1. The selected Website.
  2. The selected Website Language.

This means a multilingual website can maintain language-specific identity and SEO values.

Operating principle: Before editing Website Settings, verify both the website and language displayed in the workspace.

18.3 Website Identity Fields

The confirmed Website Settings controller supports these website-information fields:

Field Purpose
Website Name Public-facing website or business name.
Website Tagline Short supporting brand or business statement.
Website Description General website or organization description.
Website Phone Public contact telephone information.
Website Email Public contact email information.
Website Address Public business or contact address.
Website Hours Business or operating-hour information.

18.4 Search Engine Optimization Fields

The confirmed Website Settings update workflow supports the following SEO fields:

SEO Field Purpose
SEO Title Title metadata associated with the website.
SEO Description Description metadata for search and sharing contexts.
SEO Keywords Keyword information stored with the website settings.
SEO Author Author metadata.
SEO Robots Robots-related metadata configuration.
SEO OG Type Open Graph content type.
SEO OG Locale Open Graph locale information.
SEO OG Site Name Open Graph site-name information.
SEO Twitter Card Twitter/X card presentation setting.
SEO Twitter Site Twitter/X site account metadata.
SEO Twitter Creator Twitter/X creator metadata.

18.5 Social Settings

The confirmed settings workflow also supports:

  1. Social Links — stored as structured social-link information.
  2. Show Social Icon — controls supported social-icon presentation.

18.6 Logo Type

Website Settings contain a Header Logo Type configuration.

The Website Settings model uses logo_with_name as its default Header Logo Type when no other value is stored.

18.7 Website Logo and Favicon Assets

The Website Settings model exposes public website configuration for several stored visual assets:

  1. Light Logo.
  2. Dark Logo.
  3. Light Small Logo.
  4. Dark Small Logo.
  5. Website Favicon.

These assets allow the public website to use branding appropriate for different supported presentation contexts.

18.8 Language-Specific Settings

Because Website Settings are associated with a Website Language, values such as Website Name, Tagline, Description, and SEO metadata can be maintained separately for each language.

When building a multilingual website, switch through each configured language and review its settings rather than assuming the Default language values are sufficient.

18.9 Automatic Settings Creation

The Website Settings controller uses a get-or-create workflow.

If the selected website/language combination does not yet have a settings record, AIUNIFY Leads can create settings from the application's default settings structure.

This lets a newly configured website or language receive a valid settings record without requiring direct database administration.

18.10 English Fallback Behavior

The public website routing contains English fallback behavior when a selected non-English language does not have its own Website Settings record.

This fallback is useful for continuity, but it should not replace completing the intended translations.

Best practice: Complete Website Settings for every public language so visitors receive the intended language-specific business and SEO information.

18.11 Available Themes and Layout Components

The Website Settings API also exposes operations for:

  1. Retrieving available themes.
  2. Retrieving layout components for a selected theme and component type.

Theme management and shared Header/Footer behavior are covered in the next chapter.
