1.1 Overview

AIUNIFY Analytics is a website analytics and visitor-behavior platform designed to help you understand how people discover, navigate, and interact with your websites.

After connecting a website to AIUNIFY Analytics, the system collects supported activity through a tracking code and organizes that information into dashboards, visitor records, pageviews, realtime activity, conversion goals, outbound-click reports, Heatmaps, Session Replays, and other analytical views.

AIUNIFY Analytics is organized around your Websites. Each website you add has its own tracking configuration and analytics data. You can move between websites to review and manage the activity associated with each property.

Depending on the tracking mode and features available to your account, AIUNIFY Analytics can help you:

  1. Monitor website Pageviews
  2. Measure Sessions and Visitors
  3. View Realtime activity
  4. Review individual visitor journeys
  5. Analyze visitor events
  6. Track outbound link clicks
  7. Create and monitor Goals
  8. Generate Heatmaps
  9. Review Session Replays
  10. Analyze traffic sources and referral activity
  11. Review geographic, browser, operating system, and device information
  12. Analyze UTMs and marketing campaign traffic
  13. Add Chart Annotations
  14. Receive Email Reports
  15. Export analytics data
  16. Collaborate through Teams
  17. Use Custom Parameters with tracked visitors
  18. Access Analytics data through the API when enabled
  19. Use Custom Domains for tracking when available

1.2 The Purpose of AIUNIFY Analytics

AIUNIFY Analytics turns raw website activity into information you can use to understand how visitors interact with your online presence.

Instead of only knowing how many people visited a website, the platform can help answer questions such as:

  1. How many Pageviews is my website receiving?
  2. How many Sessions are being generated?
  3. How many Visitors are reaching the site?
  4. Which pages are receiving the most activity?
  5. Where are visitors coming from?
  6. What devices and browsers are they using?
  7. What countries and cities are generating traffic?
  8. What are visitors doing right now?
  9. Which external links are visitors clicking?
  10. Are visitors completing the actions I want them to complete?
  11. How are visitors moving from page to page?
  12. Where are visitors clicking and scrolling?
  13. What happened during an individual visitor session?
  14. Which marketing campaigns or UTM sources are driving activity?

The system combines traditional website statistics with more detailed visitor-behavior tools so you can examine both traffic performance and how visitors interact with the website.

1.3 How AIUNIFY Analytics Works

The basic Analytics workflow is:

Add Website → Select Tracking Mode → Install Tracking Code → Collect Activity → Review Analytics → Optimize

Step 1 — Add a Website

Your Analytics account begins with a Website.

A Website represents the web property you want AIUNIFY Analytics to track.

If you access the Dashboard before a Website is available, the system directs you to the Websites area so you can establish the property that will supply the analytics data.

Step 2 — Select a Tracking Mode

When adding a Website, you select one of the available tracking modes:

  1. Advanced Tracking
  2. Lightweight Tracking

This is an important decision because the tracking mode affects which analytics capabilities are available.

Important: The interface states that a Website's tracking type cannot be changed after the Website is created.

Chapter 3 of this manual explains the differences between Advanced Tracking and Lightweight Tracking before you create your first Website.

Step 3 — Install the Tracking Code

Each Website receives a Tracking Code.

The tracking code must be installed on the website you want to analyze. AIUNIFY Analytics uses the installed tracking code to collect the activity supported by the tracking mode and Website configuration.

Step 4 — Collect Activity

Once tracking is installed and active, Analytics begins building the reporting data associated with that Website.

Step 5 — Review and Analyze

You can then use the Analytics interface to study the Website's traffic, visitor behavior, Goals, Realtime activity, Pageviews, and other available information.

1.4 Main AIUNIFY Analytics Areas

The Analytics interface contains several operational areas. Some may only appear when the applicable feature is enabled or when the Website uses a compatible tracking mode.

Dashboard

The Dashboard is the primary reporting area for a selected Website.

It provides an overall view of website performance and gives you access to multiple analytical dimensions.

Primary metrics include:

  1. Pageviews
  2. Sessions
  3. Visitors

The Dashboard can also provide reporting around areas such as:

  1. Pages and paths
  2. Referrers
  3. Screen resolutions
  4. UTMs
  5. Operating systems
  6. Device types
  7. Continents
  8. Countries
  9. Cities
  10. Browsers
  11. Browser languages
  12. Browser timezones
  13. Goals
  14. Realtime activity
  15. Outbound Clicks
  16. Hours
  17. Weekdays

These reporting areas allow you to move beyond total traffic and examine who is visiting, where they came from, what technology they use, and how they interact with the site.

Goals

Goals allow you to track conversions and other important website actions.

AIUNIFY Analytics supports two primary Goal concepts:

Pageview Goals

A Pageview Goal records a conversion when a visitor reaches a specified page.

Examples can include:

  1. Thank-you pages
  2. Order confirmation pages
  3. Registration completion pages
  4. Form completion destinations
  5. Newsletter confirmation pages

Custom Goals

Custom Goals allow you to track actions that are not represented by simply visiting a particular page.

Examples can include:

  1. Button clicks
  2. External-link clicks
  3. Advanced form submissions
  4. Downloads
  5. Specific interface interactions
  6. Other actions that can be triggered through JavaScript

Goals allow you to connect website traffic with the outcomes that matter to your business.

Outbound Clicks

Outbound Clicks tracks clicks on links that send visitors away from the Website being monitored.

This can help you understand:

  1. How many outbound clicks occurred
  2. Which outbound links receive the most clicks
  3. Which outside domains receive traffic from your site
  4. Where visitors are leaving your site through external links
  5. Recent outbound-click activity

Outbound Click tracking can be enabled or disabled in the Website's tracking settings.

Realtime

Realtime provides a live view of recent Website activity.

The system describes Realtime Analytics as activity from approximately the last 60 seconds, with the information refreshing automatically.

Realtime information can include:

  1. Active users
  2. Recent Pageviews
  3. Active countries
  4. Devices in use
  5. Pages currently being accessed

Use Realtime when you want to see what is happening on your Website right now rather than waiting to review historical reports.

Pageviews

Pageviews provides access to the Website activity that AIUNIFY Analytics has recorded for pages being viewed.

Pageview information becomes part of the broader Analytics reporting used to understand:

  1. Which pages visitors access
  2. How overall traffic changes over time
  3. Visitor navigation activity
  4. Website usage patterns

Pageviews are one of the core measurements used by the Analytics Dashboard.

Visitors

The Visitors area provides more detailed information about the people or visitor identifiers associated with tracked Website activity when supported by the selected tracking mode.

Visitor reporting can help you examine:

  1. Visitor history
  2. Number of Sessions
  3. Average Sessions per Visitor
  4. Average time per Session
  5. Visitor systems and technology
  6. Visitor journeys
  7. Session activity

You can open an individual Visitor to examine more detailed activity associated with that visitor.

Availability: Visitor-history functionality depends on the Website's tracking mode. Lightweight Tracking does not associate a visitor with previous visits in the same way as Advanced Tracking.

Heatmaps

Heatmaps visualize how visitors interact with specific Website pages.

Supported Heatmap concepts include:

  1. Click Heatmaps
  2. Scroll Heatmaps
  3. Desktop views
  4. Tablet views
  5. Mobile views
  6. Full-page Heatmaps

Heatmaps help you identify which areas of a page receive interaction and how far visitors move through the content.

This can be useful when evaluating:

  1. Calls to action
  2. Page layouts
  3. Navigation
  4. Forms
  5. Product or service sections
  6. Landing pages
  7. Content placement
Availability: Heatmaps are associated with Advanced Tracking and may also depend on the features enabled for your Analytics account.

Replays

Replays provide a visual representation of tracked visitor sessions.

Session Replay capabilities are designed to help you understand the visitor's journey through recorded activity such as:

  1. Page movement
  2. Mouse activity
  3. Click activity
  4. Session events
  5. Movement across pages

The Website configuration also contains a Session Replays – Hide Text Selector setting. This allows specified page text to be hidden from session recordings using CSS selectors.

This is especially useful when parts of a webpage should not appear in Session Replay data.

Availability: Session Replays require Advanced Tracking and must be enabled for the Website and account.

Annotations

Annotations, identified in the interface as Chart Annotations, let you place milestones or events directly onto Analytics charts.

You might use an Annotation to mark events such as:

  1. A marketing campaign launch
  2. A new Website release
  3. A product launch
  4. A promotion
  5. A major content change
  6. A pricing update
  7. A website redesign

Annotations help add business context to changes you see in Analytics.

For example, if Website activity increases immediately after a campaign launch, an Annotation can help identify what happened at that point in the reporting timeline.

Websites

The Websites area is where you create and manage the Websites connected to your Analytics account.

Each Website can have its own Analytics configuration.

Available Website options can include:

  1. Tracking Code
  2. Tracking Type
  3. Tracking on/off
  4. Outbound Click tracking
  5. Visitor Event tracking
  6. Session Replays
  7. Email Reports
  8. Bot Exclusion
  9. Query Parameter tracking
  10. IP Tracking
  11. Excluded IPs
  12. Session Replay privacy selectors
  13. Custom Domain selection where available

Because most Analytics functionality is tied to a Website, this is one of the most important areas of the system.

Teams

Teams allows Analytics access to be shared with other users.

Within Teams, you can create a Team and manage Members.

Team functionality includes actions such as:

  1. Create a Team
  2. Add a Member
  3. Invite a user
  4. View invitation status
  5. View when a member joined
  6. Remove user access
  7. Leave a Team you have joined

This allows organizations to share Analytics access with the people who need to review or manage Website data.

Domains

When enabled for your account, Domains provides Custom Domain functionality for Analytics tracking.

A Custom Domain can be used for the Tracking Code URL rather than relying only on the system's standard tracking domain.

If Domains is not enabled for your account, you may not see this menu option.

1.5 Advanced Tracking vs. Lightweight Tracking

AIUNIFY Analytics provides two tracking approaches.

Understanding the difference is important because the tracking type is selected when creating the Website.

Advanced Tracking

Advanced Tracking is intended for more detailed visitor analytics.

The source describes Advanced Tracking as supporting capabilities including:

  1. In-depth visitor history
  2. Heatmaps
  3. Session Replays
  4. More detailed tracking statistics
  5. Custom Parameters for Visitors

Advanced Tracking uses local storage and randomly generated identifiers to associate activity with returning visitors.

Because this mode provides more detailed visitor tracking, Website owners should evaluate the appropriate privacy and consent requirements that apply to their use of the technology.

Lightweight Tracking

Lightweight Tracking provides a more limited, privacy-focused approach.

According to the application's own documentation, Lightweight Tracking:

  1. Uses a very small tracking script
  2. Does not use cookies
  3. Does not use local storage
  4. Does not assign visitor identifiers
  5. Does not associate a visitor with previous visits

Because of that design, some advanced behavioral features are unavailable.

In particular:

  1. Visitor history is more limited
  2. Heatmaps are unavailable
  3. Session Replays are unavailable

The application describes Lightweight Tracking as designed for users who prioritize a simpler and more privacy-oriented tracking configuration.

Important: Chapter 3 provides a detailed comparison before you choose which tracking mode to use.

1.6 Website Tracking Controls

Beyond choosing a tracking mode, AIUNIFY Analytics gives users several controls over how a Website is tracked.

Depending on account availability and tracking type, these controls can include:

Tracking

Turns Analytics tracking for the Website on or off.

Track Outbound Clicks

Records visitor clicks on links that lead outside the Website.

Track Visitors Events

Records supported visitor interactions such as:

  1. Mouse clicks
  2. Form submissions
  3. Resizes
  4. Scrolls

Session Replays

Turns visual Session Replay tracking on or off.

Bot Exclusion

Excludes widely known bots from Website tracking.

Track Query Parameters

Allows URL query parameters to be included in tracking rather than ignored.

IP Tracking

Allows IP information to be stored when this option is enabled and available.

Excluded IPs

Allows specified IP addresses to be excluded from Analytics collection.

Email Reports

Allows Website analytics summaries to be delivered through email when available.

These controls allow each Website to be configured according to the type of Analytics information you want to collect.

1.7 Understanding the Core Analytics Measurements

Throughout the system you will encounter several recurring terms.

Pageviews

A Pageview represents a tracked page being viewed.

Sessions

A Session represents a period of visitor activity associated with the Website.

Visitors

A Visitor represents a visitor identifier recognized by the applicable tracking system.

Events

Events represent supported visitor interactions that occur during a Session, such as clicks, scrolling, resizing, or form-related activity when event tracking is enabled.

Conversions

A Conversion occurs when a configured Goal is successfully triggered.

Outbound Clicks

An Outbound Click occurs when a visitor clicks a tracked link that points outside the Website.

These measurements work together to provide different perspectives on Website performance.

For example:

Visitors → Sessions → Pageviews → Events → Goals/Conversions

shows progressively more detail about how someone interacts with the Website.

1.8 Traffic and Audience Analysis

AIUNIFY Analytics can break Website activity into multiple dimensions so you can better understand where traffic comes from and how it behaves.

Available reporting areas include:

Traffic Sources

  1. Referrers
  2. Referrer paths
  3. Search-engine referrals
  4. Social-media referrals
  5. AI referrers
  6. UTMs
  7. Landing paths
  8. Exit paths

Geography

  1. Continents
  2. Countries
  3. Cities

Technology

  1. Device types
  2. Operating systems
  3. Browser names
  4. Browser languages
  5. Browser timezones
  6. Screen resolutions

Timing

  1. Hours
  2. Weekdays
  3. Selected date ranges

These reports allow you to look beyond total traffic and understand which audiences, sources, devices, locations, and campaigns are contributing to Website activity.

1.9 Custom Parameters

For Advanced Tracking, AIUNIFY Analytics supports Custom Parameters.

Custom Parameters can be used to associate information from your own Website with a tracked visitor.

The system documentation gives examples such as:

  1. Email
  2. User ID
  3. Name
  4. Other Website-defined identifiers

This can be useful for Websites that have membership or login systems and need additional context when analyzing user behavior.

When Custom Parameters are supplied, the Visitors interface can indicate that the visitor contains identifying custom parameters.

Custom Parameters require changes to the Website's tracking implementation and will be covered later in this manual.

1.10 Data Export

AIUNIFY Analytics contains data-export functionality across supported reports.

The system provides export capabilities such as:

  1. CSV
  2. JSON
  3. PDF where supported

Exports allow Analytics information to be used outside the application for reporting, record keeping, further analysis, or business reviews.

1.11 Account and Security Features

In addition to Website Analytics, users have account-level controls.

These can include:

  1. Name and email
  2. Password
  3. Timezone
  4. Avatar
  5. Two-Factor Authentication
  6. Anti-phishing code
  7. Account preferences
  8. API access when enabled
  9. Account activity/log history
  10. Team access

The timezone setting is particularly relevant because Analytics reporting uses the user's timezone when displaying and processing time-based information.

Security and account configuration will be covered in dedicated chapters later in this manual.

1.12 Feature Availability

Not every AIUNIFY Analytics user will necessarily see every function described in this manual.

Feature availability can depend on:

  1. The tracking mode selected for the Website
  2. The features enabled for your AIUNIFY account
  3. The configuration of the individual Website
  4. Whether optional Analytics functionality is enabled

For example:

  1. Lightweight Tracking does not provide the same Visitor-history capabilities as Advanced Tracking.
  2. Heatmaps require compatible tracking and feature availability.
  3. Session Replays require compatible tracking and feature availability.
  4. Domains may only appear when Custom Domain functionality is enabled.
  5. API access may only appear when API functionality is available to the account.
  6. Annotations may only appear when the feature is enabled.

Throughout this manual, conditional features will be identified with an Availability notice when necessary.
